Regulation creates a market
Rules on AI in finance, healthcare, hiring and the public sector require companies to document, test and monitor the models they use. Every requirement becomes a tool - inventories of models, evaluation suites, audit logs - and those tools are the governance market.
Guardrails and hallucination checks
Generative AI adds a newer problem: confident answers that are wrong. Guardrail platforms filter what goes into and comes out of a model; hallucination detection checks answers against sources. Both grow fastest in our trust category because they are needed wherever generative AI touches customers or decisions.
Security is the largest piece
Protecting AI systems - and using AI to protect other systems - is the largest part of the trust layer today. As agents gain permission to act, the security and governance categories increasingly overlap.
About the data
All figures are Market-Reports.com estimates of global market revenue in US dollars, with 2025 as the base year and forecasts to 2035; growth rates are compound annual growth rates (CAGR) for 2025-2035. They come from our catalogue of more than 4,600 market reports across 19 industries, in which every market is sized on its own definition. Markets overlap - an AI server is also part of AI infrastructure - so the figures in this study must not be added together. Medians are calculated across all reports whose market name matches the theme, as published in October 2026.
